(USE THE LINKS BELOW - THEY WORK BETTER THAN SCROLLING) LICENSES/CERTIFICATES PROGRAMS/WORKSHOPS PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIPS HONORS/ACTIVITIES Summary I have had success and satisfaction both leading and being part of a team that provides safe, quality care to people. My expertise in compliance, quality, safety, and risk management has been primarily in health care, however quality practices, analysis, and programs share the same basic fundamentals: communication, teamwork, buy-in, attention to detail, and an effective monitoring and response system. I am open to giving my heart, mind, and skills to other areas as well. I currently hold a Florida License in Health Care Risk Manager and since 2007 served as Director of Risk Management and Performance Improvement for a 112 bed class 3 psychiatric hospital and as an Administrator for an ICF (Intermediate Care Facility). I have experience managing residential psychiatric and nursing facilities. At each task, I improved quality, reduced spending, and and had excellent regulatory surveys. This is done by conveying the importance of quality care and implementing systems that make it easier for staff to implement quality without waste. Developing excellent relationships with regulatory surveyors adds to the quality and produces surveys with minor or no citations. While much of my career has focused on human services and consultations because I enjoy the inherent rewards found in helping others, my life experience is and interests are diverse and eclectic. I welcome you to question or test me. I thrive on learning and am open to any position in any field that offers a challenging and rewarding work experience. My personal interests include music, writing, photography, computers, learning, softball, running, staying fit and living healthy, community service, helping others, and sharing positive activities with friends. I currently pitch for several softball teams in the Orlando area. I offer my knowledge, experience, abilities, and enthusiasm to your organization.
