start babbling in metered rhyme and the crowds disperse, but that matters little to the kids playing in my head... what's worse, in the world outside of my head, is the air conditioning in my car died... just when I didn't need another major expense too... it would be right on time if I lived up north, of course, but living in Florida, air conditioning in a car is almost as important as the engine...

of course that didn't stop me from living without air conditioning for a few years (wild man in the swamp land), but I'm a respectable professional now (or so I've got them all believing... as manic laughter fizzles into giggles) and I shall get the dang machine fixed...

everybody should go wish the mesmerizingly beautiful and amazingly talented Dia a Happy Birthday (it was the 3rd, but I'm still celebrating)... go ahead, leave a happy birthday comment... and then you can check out the stars (and the space between) that inspire powerful poetry (or was that Dia who inspired it?... and an entry back?... ah, the mystery deepens)... all together seriously now, go leave a happy birthday comment... I'll be here when you get back...

. o O ( synchronized swimming music ) O o .

in other news (for those few of you who came back), we are getting new appliances tomorrow... new fridge, new dishwasher, new oven... can it get any more exciting? (that was sarcasm, for those who don't know me too well)... maybe they'll stay clean for a few hours...

speaking of excitement, I wake up early tomorrow to get my driver's licence renewed... it's only expired eighteen months, they shouldn't be too upset... I'm forgetful, like Einstein... when I renewed my registration in 2005, I realized that I forgot to put the 2004 registration sticker on my license plate... nobody told me...

my roommate and officemate are very sick...it's been more than a week... sneezing, coughing, can't keep food down, and they don't have the energy to chase their running noses... I am hoping my good karma keeps the germs away...

and for those of you who were afraid I'd changed into some sort of mad poet, now you have proof that no such transformation occurred... the babble continues (elsewhere, if you know where to find it) and sometimes the odd details of daily life will greet your smiling face as you check in on me here... I'm happy you came by, really, cuz you are special...

I hope your night (or day) is grinning from ear to ear
