well, maybe not all about adding, but at least some thoughts since I recently decided to wander the cyber streets and alleys of myspace (just in time for the recent crashes, aye?) looking for interesting profiles and inspirations...

if I added you it is because I saw something in your profile (or in your eye) that inspired me and I want to keep it around in my world... it's a good thing...

and if that's not enough, it might help to know that my mind follows rather random paths, streams of consciousness you might say, as I drift along the cyber currents... a glance at some of my other writings might give you some idea of why many don't relate to how I think (and others just call me crazy)...

I probably have a lot of people with add requests on myspace wondering just who in the heck I might be and why I might send them a request... this entry attempts to offer some insight into those questions...

first I was noticing one of my actual friends, someone I know and live with (starting in real life, what a novel idea), was starting to explore myspace more so I added her and started exploring her friends and added them... maybe you are one of them wondering about me...

then I started exploring music sites and added some bands and artists I know and some I don't know and along the way, just for the potential connection, some of the people who were friends of the band or artist because I figure being into the same music could mean we could relate...

and then I was specifically looking for an artist I saw at Warped Tour this summer (Meg and Dia) and went through a dozen searches and hundreds of profiles of Meg, Megan, and related names before I found them... along the way, I added a bunch of people who had something on their profile that I related to... yes, I can be that random... if it offends you or creeps you out, just say no and we'll both miss out on whatever might have been...

sometimes I see something at a glance, get a vibe, want to know more and find your profile is threatening to crash my old baby computer (it is almost ten years old) and I click "Add" so I can remember to return when I someday have a grown-up computer... yes, I am that impulsive...

and then, most recently (this weekend)  I searched for Harry Chapin and did the same thing (for a few other artists too cuz someone keeps calling my name too... if you're really into Harry then you know anywhere's a better place to be cuz everybody's lonely and there's a lot of lonely people tonight and if you could put your light on please then we might just illuminate each other's lives...

yeah, all my life's a circle and you are welcome in it...

so now you know what I sometimes do early Sunday mornings (sunshine) when 'bout half the world's asleep (or maybe more) and I get back from wherever I might have gone Saturday night and still find myself awake and looking for more...

in other words (not to reiterate the above, but to actually point to other words) I ramble on (briefly, really) about the mundane details of daily life in my most recent blog and when time permits I ramble on (not briefly, really) adding more to the thousands of entries in my online diary (yes I am on Live Journal and other places too)...

I love to write, ok? :)

so now you know a little about why you may have an add request and a bit more about who I am and where you can find out a lot more about me... so you can relax, right?...

whatever you decide to do with my add request, have fun, serious or frivolous, out there with or without me cuz most anything else is a waste of time... and try not to hurt yourself (or anyone else) cuz that's a drag... and if you're wandering the cyber streets (or the real streets of Orlando, FL) and feel like talking to someone who can listen as well as he babbles on, say hi (my number is on the diary page... yes, for real)... 

in the end, I believe in love and honesty and doing no harm... if you can't love me, well, love yourself and the people you can love and we'll work on the rest of the world some other time :)
