the good news is I pushed the exercise to another new level today.. 7 miles in 89 minutes... jogging 5 of the miles, walking half miles in between each mile... still not hitting the 10 minute mile mark, but sustaining the heart rate for longer periods and completing the miles with a slight kick, so I've got to feel ok about the progress... feeling good is a long way off, though physically it feels good...

jogging on the road is so much more comfortable for me than the treadmill... and I am startng to feel the muscles reaching closer to strain levels, which is a good sign that my aerobic stamina is increasing... I've just got to keep it up now... skipping a day to recover is only semi-acceptible and more laziness than anything else, but getting enough sleep with working nights is not always easy... especially on the days Sam (lovable roommate character) doesn't have evening classes (most evenings) cuz he sure does love his TV... ironically, he probably looks at me and thinks he hopes to be a lot more settled and successful financially than I am when he gets to be my age and I look at him thinking I'm glad I was so successful financially, active, and social at his age...

I guess finding a social life can be challenging at any age... but it was a whole lot easier in NYC, or so it seemed... maybe that's cuz more weirdos and aliens live up there and I fit in better
