spent the day ipdating my profile and sending out a dozen or so mails over at cybersoulmate...

and then, of course, the Superbowl...

there is just no excuse for bad officiating in the Superbowl and yet once again a team of officials who ever worked together blew some key calls against Oakland to tarnish the victory, at least in the eyes of knowledgeable sports fans, for Tampa... not pushed out of the end zone?... clock continues running when Rice runs out of bounds?... and several pass interference calls were missed against Tampa... why they let Tampa control their officiating is beyond me, but I guess when the officials are not working as a team they are too easily influenced by momentum, exactly what officials are there not to do... sad, because Tampa clearly beat Oakland, but they had officiating help and that sucks because they might have beaten Oakland fair and square... yes, might... clearly the Tampa defensive rush won the game, shutting down any Oakland running game, rushing passes and sacking Gannon, knocking him completely off his stride, deflecting passes, giving Tampa's defensive backs a very easy day against some great receivers... but the officials played too big a role in keeping Oakland's offense from gaining any momentum...

some bad coaching decisions in play calling and challenging and clock management on Oakland's part also helped... but give it to the defensive play calling and the rush...
