...THERE'S ALWAYS HOPE... (I HOPE...) THERE'S ALWAYS HOPE... (I HOPE...) THERE'S ALWAYS HOPE... (I HOPE...) THERE'S ALWAYS HOPE...
so far behind more to follow later as I listen to veteran TV announcers make excuses for mediocre performances, I wonder why I wanted to watch the NFL playoffs in the first place... it's down to the final eight and any team can catch a little magic and win on adrenaline for a couple of weeks, but Pittsburgh and Tennessee don't look like championship teams to me... I mean, a pass hits a guy in the hands on third down, it's caught it you're a champion... way too many dropped on third downs... and on other plays, an equal number of just plain bad passes when receivers were wide open... and tackling?... these two teams are #1 and #2 in the whole league against the run?... they must have played against mostly passing teams... and Pittsbrgh may be #1 against the run, according to these announcers, but what's the difference if they've given up more than 30 points in 8 regular season games and in the playoffs?... but they look evenly matched so the winner should remain in doubt right to the finish... I'll look up again when the next game comes on... went to see The Ring today... odd... the story was not really told, but inferred and if you don't pay attention you'll probably miss a lot of points... could have been done better (writing, acting, filming), from my viewpoint, but it was decent fun... before the movie was another opportity to roll the ball down the lane at the pins... yes, bowling... I really should get a ball if I am going to bowl... nuff said? J and once again I am home early... the only friends I have are early birds... I need to find some night people... anyway, I shall endeavor to use this time to respond to some mails and some groups and catch up on some journals... someday I will actually be caught up and today will be today... ah, finally, the second game of the day... Philadephia-Atlanta... it seems Atlanta is the sports announcers favorite... maybe they should get real jobs and then they'd have some actual perspective (has anybody else noticed the deterioration in knowledge among sports announcers?... their picks are pathetic and their analysis is way off, but they get paid to do it so they must be right... right)... I've heard more than one pick them to go all the way and speak of Michael Vick as a god... I mean, at 24, I think he has amazing physical potential... explosive speed... but he's yet to show me he can run a team to the Superbowl, nor has he amazed me with quarterbacking skills... bt the potential is there if he has the head for it... still, has anybody noticed that Philly continued winning fairly easily even when when their starting QB and their second string QB both got hurt?... it's called defense... and with McNabb back now, I say Philly rocks Atlanta's world (don't be surprised if some are carried off the field)... but still, Atlanta did give Green Bay and Brett Favre fits last week, so I don't see much scoring from either team... maybe not even a touchdown (at least not from the offense), unless the defenses tire in the fourth quarter... we shall see, huh? J this entry should probably be in the games journal, bt since this main journal is so far behind and I haven't been to the games journal in several months, I'll leave this ramble here... so how was your day?
